A wedding is a very special day. It signifies the beginning of a lifetime of cherished memories. Your wedding day deserves all the attention and care for which DragonRidge Country Club is renowned. DragonRidge can accommodate a casual meeting for two or a large event for 100’s. We asked Jason and Kelli LeDell to share some advice and moments from their wedding.

Q: After having your wedding. What are some tips or advice you would give a future Bride?

Live in the moment and stay present as it all goes by so fast. Start getting ready earlier than you think you need to because before you know it, all the time will have passed and it will be go time. Have something to eat before your ceremony because you won’t really eat at the reception.

Q: What are some tips you can give that made your wedding day run smoothly?

Don’t be afraid to delegate. Make sure to be well-rested and give yourself plenty of time and know the schedule. Also, don’t worry about the little things – at this point, it’s too late and you can’t change anything, so just go with the flow. Things might not be exactly the way you pictured, but no one will notice if one flower is slightly out of place… only you will know. Also, have a great wedding planner that has done this many times before.. they are a big, big help!!

Q: What was your most memorable moment ( or moments) from your wedding?

At the ceremony holding hands, exchanging our vows and looking at our daughter to see the happiness she was feeling. Also, Jason and I wrote each other a letter that we read while getting ready. I made sure to read the letter before getting my makeup done so tears wouldn’t ruin my makeup.

Q: What was your inspiration for your decore and theme of your wedding?

Our colors were grays and purples. I wanted to incorporate something to remind me of my grandparents since they couldn’t be there, so we incorporated white roses since my grandfather was an avid rose gardener

Q: Was there one or more vendors that went above and beyond to make your day special?

Brandi but she is not a vendor – she was very helpful and obviously knew what she was doing so she was always able to give good advice. Our photographer was also fantastic – Elizabeth Le Photography. Our officiant was also fantastic! She really tailored our ceremony to us, and included personal touches and made it very “us”

Q: What made you decide on DragonRidge as your venue?

The beauty of the venue and people. My husband and I were on different ends when it came to the wedding. I wanted something very private with only family and he wanted to invite all of Las Vegas. So, we compromised, and DragonRidge made it happen. Small but not too small, intimate and different. We had our ceremony inside the Water’s Edge home and the reception at the onyx bar and restaurant inside the clubhouse. This gave us something different which is what we wanted.

Q: What were you looking for in a wedding?

I wanted a wedding in a place that was pretty and not a Las Vegas hotel. I also did not want a banquet room as I wanted a smaller wedding and a banquet room would have been way too large.. DragonRidge was able to accommodate our request and create a space that was perfect for us and our family. We also eat at the DragonRidge restaurant and grille quite often so we knew the food would be good and the staff would be great.

Q: In what ways did you strive to personalize your wedding and reception?

Homemade decorations, homemade desserts by my mom, roses in memory of my grandparents, Waters Edge home for the ceremony, during the ceremony before we exchanged rings, we brought up our daughter and presented her with a necklace so she could be a part of the ceremony as well.

Q: When the big day arrived, did you feel comfortable and confident that everything was good to go?

Yes, I felt like everyone had everything under control which helped give me the peace of mind that our guests would enjoy themselves and I could sit back and try to enjoy the moment.

Q: Would you recommend it to others? Marriage or DragonRidge?

Yes to both.
